2nd Kids' Photography Workshop 2023!

This workshop is an exciting opportunity for young photography enthusiasts to explore the world of marine birds in the Azores while learning photography fundamentals.

DATE & TIME: June 3rd and 4th, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM

LOCATIONS:

--> 3 June, House of Seabirds, Morro de Castelo Branco (Faial Island)

and Salão Nobre da Câmara Municipal da Madalena (Pico Island)

--> June 4, field trip (sea and land)

For non-members, the registration fee is €10 (ten euros).

The workshop is divided into three modules, as described below:

​

MODULE I - Introduction to Marine Birds of the Azores: This module will cover the diversity, taxonomy, ecology, distribution, and conservation status of marine birds.

​

MODULE II - Introduction to Photography: In this module, participants will learn about the workings of cameras, exposure, aperture and depth of field, shutter speed, lens aperture, focusing, automatic mode, lenses and objectives, the importance of light, ISO, megapixels and sensors, as well as photographic composition techniques.

​

MODULE III - Practical Component: Participants will have the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned in the previous modules during a field trip on land and at sea.
